Another flagrant omission. Taken from Machinedrum’s second LP – Half The Battle – this is one of those songs that totally blows your mind when you think it was released in 2002 as it sounds so ‘modern’ / of the now in terms of its overall aesthetic and the way the rhythm functions. I’d actually never heard it until my friend Lewis played it to me about six months ago. I had to pick up my jaw off the floor when the drop came in. It’s still THAT good ten years later.

NB: This is the Proemix, meaning it’s a remix by Proem.

Unfortunately the only Youtube of it was removed shortly after I found it (ironically by Dimlite who asked for the uploader to be banned from Youtube). But it’s the second track in this all Machinedrum mix and really you should buy the album. Really.
