Musical alias of Laurent Fintoni, writer, journalist and music fan at large. Under the Kper moniker he’s run nights in London, DJed at some festivals and clubs all over the place and was a resident at Tokyo’s first dubstep night, BTC. He’s mostly played alongside people much doper than him. He’s made a bunch of mixes too, the most popular of which is probably ‘Wonk Fonk’, ironic considering it was a bit of a joke to start with. Fun Fact – Wonk Fonk is technically the v.0 of A Boom Bap Continuum. In 2010 the Kper moniker was retired. You can catch him under his real name curating mixes, selecting tracks, airing new music and talking on Rhythm Incursions every month. He also writes for FACT, RBMA and Playground, and does other things like writing a book about hip hop.
